Spicy Shrimp

 
   
   
   
Ingredients -  
   
24 large Shrimp in the shell
1 teaspoon Sweet Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
2-1/2 teaspoons Cajun Spices
1 medium Onion, finely sliced from top to base
1/2 Red Bell Pepper, finely sliced into strips
4 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1 tablespoon finely chopped Parsley
 
   
Preparation:  
   
Cut off the front part of the shrimp heads with scissors. Cut down the center back of each shrimp through the shell and devein. Combine paprika, crushed red pepper and Cajun spices. Sprinkle combined spices over the shrimp and let stand 20 minutes.

In a large saucepan cook the onion, bell pepper and garlic in the butter until softened, about 6 minutes.

Add the shrimp and cook on high heat for 1 minute or until they change color. Add the cream and simmer, stirring until the shrimp are tender and just cooked. Stir in parsly and serve with steamed white rice and seasonal vegetables.
